SPIRO-BALL® Incentive exerciser is a single patient use device designed to assist patients who have under gone abdominal or thoracic intervention and for patients with diseases associated with a decrease in respiratory capacity to recover normal breathing. The device provides a visual aid for both patient and clinician to indicate and monitor progress. The clinician can set a volume target for the patient to try and reach whilst using the device.
TRI-BALL® encourages the patient to achieve a maximum prolonged inhalation, named SMI technique (Sustained Maximal Inspiration). The SMI is an exercise of deep, slow breathing that when repeated several times per day, may reduce respiratory complications.
SPIRO-BALL® and TRI-BALL® are registered trademarks of Leventon S.A.U
